Whats in a Name?

Hi everyone!!

I was just wondering how many of you have a pagan/witch name in addition to your birth name. I would also like to know how it was chosen and the significance it has in your life/spirituality. Also I would like to know why you have chosen/been given a pagan/witch name. Is it for magickal workings? For the internet? To remain secret in the public? Appropriate fo a new phase in life? The sound of it makes you feel powerful?

My name was given to me by my mother over 20 yrs ago. She's the best witch I know!
(aside from my gramma that is) yay mom!

My name was anagrammed out of my real name by a woman that is really good with that kind of thing. She presented it to me, and I loved it. I use it on different forums and my weblog.

I have had a few names and now,  Inanna is a patron deity I love thats the easy short answer. She came to me in a vision.
