Hello to you all and thank you for having this excellent forum.  I discovered you through WrensNest news, which I peruse regularly, and am delighted with your website and your mission.

I live in southern California and am mother to two grown children, the youngest in college and still living with me.  I consider myself a "pagan universalist" and though I studied Wicca, I never quite got into the magical ritual part of things there.  To me, all of the Universe, known and unknown, is God/dess.  I worship and commune with That, indistinct as S/He may be to others. 

My chosen patron is Kwan Yin (goddess or bhodisatva, it doesn't matter to me), not because I am Buddhist but because I love her legend.  She declined to accept god/dess-hood or nirvana, choosing to remain earthbound because others were still trapped in their suffering.  You've got to admire that kind of spirit.

I have a question about finding avatars and linking to them, but maybe I'm just too new?  Anyway, I'm glad to have discovered your site and look forward to getting to know you.

Thanks, Heidi!  I found the avatar library and nothing really caught my fancy, so I just might take you up on your offer to make one after I've looked around a bit for something special.

Thanks for the welcome, Lady Inanna.  I like your avatar and am currently shopping around and experimenting with my own.  You may see some fairly frequent changes as I experiment. 

Since I work evenings and am on the West Coast, I'm usually on the job when you guys are in the chatroom, but I'll sure try to join you all there soon.
