I know many of you know that I am going for custordy of my son.
I need some advice on which is the best way to approach the subject of religion if I do get him. He doesn't have a good attention span as he has ADHD, so I want to have something that he may find interesting.
What are the ways that you have involed your children into your religion?
Our oldest son also has adhd, as well as odd. So I understand the attention span thing. What we are trying is spiral scouts. It's all other kids, and they make games out of a lot of the learning. Gives them other kids to interact with. If your going to be teaching him pagan ways then this would probably be a great place for him.
For other paths, I would suggest checking into youth groups for your area. It seems they have better attention spans when not having to pay attention to adults, but other children instead.
Hope this gives you some idea's

anya, when it comes to the subject of religion, i have found the best way to involve your child ,is to let them involve themselves, katie watches me meditate, read cards, and when i do various candle workings she asks about it and i explain it to her simply, she leaves her food out of a night for the faeries, and nature spirits, and really enjoys doing this.oooh also ,i try not to have too many "witchy" shows on the t.v. because she is totally annoyed that she or i can`t fly, lol.
Anya Although my kids are adults - I am still aware of the ADHD with my grandson and his attention span lasts for about a minute, my opinion is let them figure out what they want to do, as this is what my daughter did. It made my grandson feel important and I believe it helped his attention difficulties as well. I also agree that the Spiral Scouts is a good idea as well. I hope that it goes well for you and your son - good luck and I shall send good vibes to you. MP BB Namaste Fire
