The Black Jewels Trilogy

The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop

Daughter of the Blood

Heir to the Shadows

Queen of the Darkness

"The Once and Future Queen.......

Seven hundred years ago, a Black Widow witch saw an ancient prophecy come to life in her dazzling web of dreams and visions.

Now the Dark Realm readies itself for the arrival of its Queen, a witch who will wield more power than even the High Lord of Hell himself. But she is still young, still open to influence - and corruption.

Whoever controls the Queen controls the Darkness. Three men - sworn enemies - know that. And they know the power that hides behind the blue eyes of an innocent young girl. And so begins a ruthless game of politics and intrigue, magic and betrayal, where the weapons are hate and love...and the prize could be terrible beyond imagining..." (from the back cover of the first in the series, Daughter of the Blood)

I have all three of these books in the series. They are an excellent read. Very entertaining. You'll find yourself caught up in the story immediately. It's probably the only story that I've read where the High Lord of Hell is one of the good guys. Guys may not like this series as it does make women out to be slightly more important than the men, but there is a reason for that, and it is explained in the story.

I give this series as a whole 3.5 stars.

Heidi

P.S. Check the books out a little....
