Crockpot Cider

This one is perfect for covens or picnics (hint, hint people, less than a month away) Makes enough cider for 12 (double for 24, half for 6...I know, new math!)

Ready in: 1-2 hrs
Difficulty: 2
Ingredients:

  • 4 cinnamon sticks

  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves

  • 2 teaspoons whole allspice

  • 16 cups apple cider

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 orange, sliced

Directions: Place cinnamon, cloves and allspice in double thickness of cheesecloth. Bring up corners of cloth; tie it with a string to form a bag. Place cider and brown sugar in slow cooker; stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the spice bag; place the orange slices on top. Cover; cook on low setting about 2 hours. Remove spice bag before serving.
