Palmistry

If anyone ever asks to read your palm; points out a couple of lines, and has your destiny mapped out for you: you can be ****ured you’ve just been had.

Palmistry is more than just reading a few lines on the hand. The most commonly know lines are of course, life line, head line, heart line, and occasionally you hear someone mention the fate line.

But these are just the major lines of the hand and cannot be correctly interpreted without a general knowledge of the lesser lines and what they mean. Likewise there is a misconception about the length of the life line. IE, a long life line means a long life. This is totally false; it isn’t the length of the line but the depth, quality, color and interfering lines, that determine the quality of life. Combining those factors with a; to scale clock; that is also found on the hand, you can determine, within reason, the approximate life span.

But even more interesting is that all of these factors are based upon other things as well. The Shape of the palm: The depth, width, and texture. The shapes and lengths of the fingers and the flanges of the fingers.  Also, lines that appear certain places on the fingers. The shape of the fingernail and its color. The distance between fingers, and the distance between the index finger and the thumb. And the overall comparison of the fingers to one another. IE, Do they lean towards on another, are there gaps? Etc.

Another thing to consider are the mounds of the hand. On the palm there are 8 mounds and the middle plain. Those are analyzed as well: Whether they are fat, thin, the color, firmness, texture, and if there are special lines on them.  The wrist is examined for specific lines and common lines.

The major lines are compared as to where they start and end. Whether they intersect, if so, where? Interfering lines, parallel lines, missing lines, false lines, how the line ends, how it begins.

Are the lines braided, chained, deep, or shallow? How close, are they to certain fingers and what finger do they end under?  Are the lines on the hand curved? If so, how curved are they, and which direction? What are the shapes of the tips of the fingers? How does someone hold their hand when it is relaxed? When you ask them to show you their HAND, how do they present it to you: palms facing or away?

Taking all that into consideration, all of the variables are compared: The dominate hand (which is what should be read) with the non- dominate hand ( which reflects outside influences and desire). And these that I've mentioned are only part of the whole reading.

Getting the picture now?

Generally a palm reading takes no less than an hour, and that is a very general reading. The more detail, the longer it takes. And experience is the key factor. I’ll be the first to admit; general readings are all I am capable of giving at this point. General reading more or less cover personality traits, flaws etc. that are either beneficial or counterproductive. You can get an overall view of someone’s past, but the finer details are missing.

My point in all this is simply, to caution you against anyone who wants to read your palm, especially for any fee. It is not simply something  you pick up overnight. There is an exact science to it, and like any science, it takes years to perfect: (if that is possible).  And gernerally speaking, someone who has your better interests in mind, won't be charging you.

My suggestion, read that last sentence again.
