What was your impression of Paganism before you began studying it? What do you family and friends think of your new or continuing interest?

I grew up in a strict Christian family who were and still are against paganism. However, both of my parents know that I am pagan although they choose not to talk about it or bring it up. When it is, they quickly change the subject.
I was always interested in other religions and cultures as a child. My grandmother was Native American. She taught me to be open-minded about other religions and cultures. I was studying paganism and Wicca as early as 10.
OK.....there was more I was going to say to that but I just went brain dead
Sooooo if I understand your post your family is ok with your chosen path and you were incouraged to follow your heart or am I miss-reading this post

My impression about Paganism and other related topics as this - has always been very open - minded. I grew up in a family where - although my parents chose their own religious paths - I was able to explore my own; which I did with fervour. I have attended virtually all denominations that are within the Western culture, and I did not seem to fit in anywhere. As I grew older, my attention went to "outside the mainstream religions"- I applied myself to learning of other religions. My husband still supports me in my decision to become Wiccan, and he supports in all that I wish to attain - which is the universal answers to al of lifes questions. So long version short, I was given free reign at a young age and as an adult as well as to what my path truely is.
