Just a quick little introduction. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, and stumbled across your forum by accident. I'm in my late 30's, and have been active at my local Unitarian Universalist church for the last 2 years. I would say that my spirituality lies somewhere between rationalist Christian and neo-pagan ... really hard to pin me down to one theology, except for that I believe God exists within nature and within every one of us. I believe Jesus was a teacher who was inspired by God to teach us how to live a better life, but his teachings were so radical that some people didn't like them, so he was crucified for it (one of many heretics to die for their beliefs). I see the Bible as a source of wisdom, but believe it is far from perfect. I've come lately to see my holy scripture within the workings of Mother Nature. I've found myself recently drawn a bit more to the pagan imagery and mythology. I wouldn't call myself a practicing wiccan by any means, but I do try to maintain a connection to the earth through observing the lunar cycles and the wheel of the year.
So, here I am. Hope you all won't mind if I hang around for awhile.
