I watch the stars at night longing for a home long forgotten. I watch the moon rise over the trees and see the patchwork quilt she makes on the ground. I see all these wonders and know that there is a higher being. And still I long for the time to come. I long for when you will return. I watch the roads, the seas, the paths through the forest dim. I watch until darkness descends and I can see no more. I will wait for you. It was the only thing you asked of me. I will remain true. I will wait for you. If the stars fall from the sky, the earth stops spinning, and the sea stops rolling. I will wait for you.
